Terms and conditions (GTC)

The relationship between our guests and the Hotel “Stranddistel” is based on a mutual desire for friendly cooperation and common sense. In addition, the following shall apply:

1. The accommodation contract is concluded as soon as the room has been ordered and confirmed. The guest will receive a written reservation confirmation if this is still possible due to time constraints. Please compare important agreements, such as the price and the day of arrival and departure.

2. The conclusion of the overall contract obliges the contracting parties, regardless of the duration for which the contract has been concluded.

3. Hotel “Stranddistel” is obliged to offer and provide the guest an equivalent room in an equivalent establishment in the event of unforeseen non-availability of the room, or if this is not possible, to pay general damages. In cases of force majeure, there is no obligation to pay damages.

4. The guest is obliged to pay the price agreed upon at the time of provision. In principle, the current price list of Hotel “Stranddistel” applies. In case of non-utilization of the contractual services, the guest undertakes to pay the following damages:

a) Up to 14 days before arrival: no costs
b) 1 to 13 days before arrival: 70% of the agreed service
c) On the day of arrival (or during the stay): 100% of the agreed service

This applies, among other things, in particular to hotel rooms as well as to special arrangements (conferences, weekend programs, short breaks, etc.). Hotel “Stranddistel” is obliged in good faith to rent out rooms not used to other parties if possible, in order to avoid losses. A corresponding cancellation invoice will be issued after the planned departure date and sent to the guest immediately for settlement. If the hotel does not receive payment, it reserves the right to initiate legal action.

5. Payment of the room price as well as additional costs (such as telephone, consumption at the hotel bar, drinks taken in the conservatory, etc.) must be made no later than the last day of the stay. For longer stays, the hotel may request an advance payment.

6. The use of the hotel’s own parking facilities is free of charge, but is at your own risk.

7. Rooms are available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival and should be occupied by 6:00 PM. Please inform the hotel of any later arrival. On the day of departure, rooms are available until 11:00 AM. If these rooms are needed beyond this time, please inform us in advance. A reduced rate for daytime use will then be charged.

8. The exclusive place of jurisdiction shall be the courts responsible for Göhren. It is also pointed out that legal circumstances not covered by these terms and conditions are regulated by the valid laws and regulations.
