Experience 7 days of Buchinger fasting with group hikes and discover the beauty of our island of Rügen. Whether you are new to fasting or have prior fasting experience, we meet you where you are.

We guide you expertly through the fasting program and ensure that you feel comfortable. Our team of fasting instructors, yoga teachers, Ayurveda therapists, and masseurs brings the optimal prerequisites and skills to support you optimally during your stay. We accompany your Buchinger fasting program with freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices, alkaline water, detoxifying teas, and freshly prepared vegetable broth.

During your fasting program with us, we spend a lot of time with exercise in the fresh air. The program includes hiking, yoga and stretching on the beach, Kneipp and water treading in the Baltic Sea, as well as various relaxation methods such as progressive muscle relaxation and Yoga Nidra – yogic sleep, guided meditations, and plenty of rest. Fasting is accompanied by guided group hikes, which sharpen your senses and expand your awareness through the peace and beauty of Rügen’s nature. Breathe. Perceive. Be.

The hikes take us to the sea, into ancient beech forests, the Baaber Heide, and the Bodden landscape of Mönchgut and Southeast Rügen. The daily morning yoga sessions take place mainly on the Baltic Sea. Kneipp water treading in the Baltic Sea stimulates your lymphatic system and promotes good blood circulation. In these 7 days, you give yourself full attention. This is your break from everyday life, here with us by the sea. Healing for body, mind, and soul.

Fasting and hiking is an excellent opportunity for healthy people to maintain their health, regenerate their body, and recharge their batteries. And all of this in the beautiful landscape of the island of Rügen. It is not only Germany’s largest, but also its most beautiful island! The nearly 30 km² Mönchgut peninsula, where the Baltic Sea resort of Göhren is located, consists of various island cores. The clear, iodine-rich sea air, the white, long – almost deserted sandy beaches in spring and autumn, and the seemingly untouched nature invite you to go on varied hikes. We invite you to enjoy this time of peace and quiet.

Fasting location and fasting hotel

The Baltic Sea resort of Göhren is the easternmost town on Rügen and a true seaside resort with a spa park and Kneipp treatments, a beach promenade and many hotels in restored villas of spa architecture. Those who come here in spring or winter can experience the town in peaceful tranquility and relax even better. The beach promenade leads along the north beach, right behind the magnificent Nordperd viewpoint, the natural beach begins. Thus, we can enjoy 7 kilometers of beach in Göhren. Surrounded by beech and pine forests, Göhren lies on a hilly coastal promontory and is therefore something special on Rügen.

Our fasting hotel is the “Stranddistel” and is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac on the forest promenade. The north beach is about a 3-minute walk away.

How do I prepare?

Fasting according to Dr. Buchinger / Dr. Lützner

The energy intake is 200 – 400 kcal. It is achieved as follows: In the morning, there is herbal tea, lemon, possibly 1 teaspoon of honey. At midday, the participant is provided with a 1/4 liter of fruit or vegetable juice diluted with water. In addition, there is tea and water as desired, and lemon. For dinner, there is a vegetable broth or a thin vegetable soup with plenty of herbs. Between 2-3 liters should be drunk daily.

Important Recommendations Before Starting the Fasting Weeks:

Please change your diet and include about three days of relief, i.e., abstain from meat, fish, cheese, eggs, alcohol, and coffee before fasting. A light diet is beneficial to prepare for fasting, consisting mainly of vegetables, some fruit, potatoes, and rice. Overall, it should be a relief from “too much”: food, work, anger, stress, appointments… Starting fasting independently before the fasting week is only advisable for experienced fasters.
